Once you have had your consultation with one of our doctors, you will be advised if you need an operation or not.

Our doctors operate in both Wollongong Public Hospital as well as Shellharbour and Wollongong Private Hospitals. Our staff will provide you with a quotation, for you to be fully informed of the likely costs and rebates for your procedure/operation. Our quotes for a prodedure/operation in a private hospital, only cover our Surgeon’s Fee’s. There are two other area’s of cost for an operation in a private hospital, Anaesthetist Fee’s and Hospital Fee’s.

Medicare offers a rebate for most procedures/operations.

Private Health Insurance coverage depends upon the level of your cover and the procedure/operation to be performed, it is your responsibility to check directly with your Health Fund.

When can I return to work/school following my procedure/operation?

This depends upon the type of procedure/operation you have, it could be the same day or up to 2 weeks. Your Doctor will discuss this with you during your pre-operative appointment.
